Don’t Trust Fish Made Me Laugh Out Loud

It takes a lot to make me laugh out loud. This did it!

I’m the kind of person comics don’t want in their audience. It takes a certain silly, wacky, quacky or in this case fishy sense of humor. Well, gotta tell you Don’t Trust Fish written by Neil Sharpson and illustrated by Dan Santat had me giggling more than once. It starts out innocently enough talking about the classification of various species, but then it takes a deep dive to SILLY. Sharpson gives many interesting facts and opinions of why fish are terribly untrustworthy. As old man fisherman growls, “Yar! Only fools and landlubbers trust them scurvy sea scoundrels! I don’t know why he sounds like a pirate. That’s weird. Don’t trust fish.” And it continues from there….what they learn in school about human anatomy….being nasty and tricksy using bioluminescence…fish in disguises like seahorses and catfishes. Ha ha ha ha.

It made me look at fish in an entirely different light. I’ll be looking out for those dangerous creatures the next time I swim in a lake or in the ocean.

Like Sharpson advises, DON’T TRUST FISH!

Ha ha ha ha.
