Mali, Grinzilda's Feline Familiar

            "Greetings. Name's Mali, feline familiar to the high witch, Grinzilda. If you're not clued into witchy life, a familiar is a witch's animal companion. That's me! What better costume than a goofy ghost dog? It's purr-fect."

Mali snuffled the ground.

            "I'll find those kiddies. Stealing candy from a witch is tricky not treaty."

Mali followed the sweet scent of sugar.

 He heard giggles and chomping.

Two children were shoving candy into their mouths, wrappers tossed willy-nilly.

            "I hope they rot their teeth."

Mali leapt.

            "Trick or treat, kiddies. Booooooooo!"

Mali grinned. Time to play.

            "MEOW!!!"

            "Did that dog meow?" asked the girl.

Mali's fur raised into sharp points.

            "Grrrrrr."

The children retreated.

            Mali growled, "It's unwise to steal from a witch."

            "Take the candy...dog...cat...catdog thing," said the boy.

Mali cackled. He raised his paws and spelled,

"Girl, boy...become my toys."

POOF!

Instead of two children, there were two hugging, shaking mice.

Mali raised his paws again and spelled,

"Feline claws, teeth that gnaw. Behold!"

POOF!

Mali preened, a cat once more.

The mice squeaked. Then scurried away.

Mali called, "Hide little mice-ies. Tomorrow you return to children. Unless I catch you first!"
