Have You Ever Seen a Knot of Frogs?

Have you heard of a chime of wrens or an armoury of aardvarks? If not read this book!

I love my job as an early reviewer for Gnome Road Publishing. They have another creative picture book called A Knot of Frogs, A Passel of Hogs being released on September 8, 2026. This picture book, written by Claire Annette Noland and illustrated by Susie Oh ,introduces young ones to the fascinating gaggle of collective nouns. Adults will find it equally enjoyable as small fry because some of the groupings are uncommon such as a mob of wallabies, a cloud of bats, and a walk of snails. I’m thinking Noland didn’t use a murder of crows since it is a picture book:)

Oh’s illustrations are invitingly inclusive, and colorful. Each page offers a visual smorgasbord. This is book children will enjoy reading over and over. I always thought a book of collective nouns would be a perfect topic for a picture book. It appears I was right! Be sure to look for A Knot of Frogs, A Passel of Hogs in September, or you can pre-order now from Gnome Road.
